Bedford Fence Permits
This DFW mid-city suburb requires you to pay $75 for a permit to build a fence. If you’re planning a masonry fence, you’ll also need to submit an engineering design.
Fence heights are capped at 8 feet for side and back yard, and 2.5 feet for front yards.
Bedford requires the smooth side of the fence to face outward to public property. They have very specific instructions on the size and placement of slats and posts on wood fences.
Fences have to be installed with clearance at the bottom for proper drainage.
You can use rust- or rot-resistant wood, masonry, chain link, wrought iron, galvanized steel pipe and vinyl materials to build your fence. You may not use stacked broken concrete, razor ribbon, sheet or corrugated metal, fiberglass panels or plywood. No electric fences allowed.

Seemed a little unsure of her job, but always so friendly!!!! Very nice lady. I am very happy with the results, however still waiting on a small revision before I pay the balance. Missing end caps on all of the rails on one side of the fence. My understanding is that MaryAnne is no longer with the company, so it's not her problem to fix.
