Meet William “Woody” Woodworth
How Did You Get Into Fencing? I was born in Austin and am a graduate of Del Valle High School, 1983. My Dad taught me how to build fences when I was 12 years old and everyone in my family knew how to build a fence. I served in the Army until 1992 and would build fences during my free time. After serving my country, I wanted to build fences for a living.
Recently my wife and I decided to move back to Texas to be near our siblings and their families. My wife and I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. I have been a salesman and Fence installer for the last 21 years. I’m excited to work for Buzz Custom Fence and serve residential and commercial clients in Austin.
Why Do You Enjoy What You Do? My favorite part of this all is watching the fence project from the beginning to the end.

How Did You Get Into Fencing? Hi, my name is Gregg. I was born in San Jose, California. I graduated from Fremont Christian High School. In my free time I like to hike, golf, ski, and play games. I’m new to the fencing industry, but have been involved in all types of home improvements for about 15 years.

Austin Fence Requirements
There are several fence regulations in the Texas capital that Buzz can handle for homeowners. First, you’ll need to apply for a permit to build a fence over 8 feet tall or a shorter one located in a flood hazard area. Permit costs are based on the total valuation of the project.
Solid fences of any type of material (wood, metal, stone) are allowed at 6-8 feet tall.
Any fence over 8 feet high must be purely ornamental, with an open design that has a solid-open ratio of no more than 1:4.
Also, all fences need your adjacent neighbors’ approval. If your land is next to city land, you have to get an OK from the Board of Adjustments.
Austin Fence Repair or Replacement
Austin weather can be fickle…or downright unpredictable. Heavy rain, hail, and massive temperature fluctuations can all take a toll on the appearance and strength of a fence. Even fences that are technically still standing may exhibit some fairly serious signs of attrition, like rotting wood, cracked vinyl, and loose or damaged pickets. If the barrier around your home or yard has definitely “seen better days,” then it’s probably time for a visit from your local Buzz contractor.
A question we often receive from prospective clients is, “Do I need an entirely new fence, or can I just repair the old one?” And, more often than not, we can only make a true recommendation after inspecting the current state of your fence. Minor damage can sometimes be remedied with a (relatively) simple repair, but more serious issues may necessitate a complete tear-down and rebuild. We’ll help you figure out a solution that fits your needs and your budget.

Company Screwed me over

I hired them because I had a weak picket fence on my yard so it was really easy for my dog to break out. I called this Buzz Custom Fence Company and asked them to please help me reinforce the fence so my dog couldn't get out and to advise me. They told me they had the perfect solution. The guy was nice so I also trusted him. They charged me $1600 USD (a full paycheck for me) to put one board on the floor. Took them 30minutes, they went when I wasn't home and that is the result I found when I got home. I paid $1600 dollars for $50 worth of materials and for something I could have also done myself in 30minutes. Not only did I get ripped off after putting my trust in them and my money. But it didn;t fix my problem, my dog can still get out. When I reached out to them they tell me there is nothing they can, that is how they do things, and that pretty much I'm an idiot. Which I am for trusting them, but I thought they were a profesional serious company operating in good faith. Worst experience I have ever had with any company. Saying I do not recommend them is an understatement. They are scammers and if I could give them negative 100 stars I would. I am devastated about how they tricked me.

Unfortunately a fence company can not fix dog behavior issues. We can offer suggestions that have worked for previous customers however that is in no way claiming we can fix it. We depend on the homeowners and dog owner to know and understand their animals and their behaviors. We offered to install some expanded metal to your fence for material cost only in order to offer an additional line of defense for your fence and keeping your dog safe, but your refused the offer. Your dog’s desire to eat wood pickets is and will destroy your fence not to mention put her in danger. The agreement you signed was clear as to what we were contracted to install there should have been no surprises. There is a total of 145’ of fence not just a single board. I am still happy to try and assist with your situation if you would like to contact me the manager with Buzz Fence, we didn’t grow this company with the A+ ratings doing dishonest work.

I stared multiple times being that I paid for said extra supplies that I want the extra supplies to remain behind when the job is done , I conveyed my wishes with the salesman directly. As is typical, I can only assume my quote was so high so as for them to purchase extra materials and then use said extra materials on side jobs for themselves. will not recommend this business for fence work.
