Flower Mound Fence Permits
This affluent, rural unincorporated town is serious about good-looking fences. The town allows for fences between 6 feet and 8 feet tall, except for front-yard fences, which are capped at 4 feet and must be constructed of tubular steel.
There are extensive rail and post requirements per fence height, and the bottom of the fence has to be designed to prevent ground-to-picket contact. Other restrictions include specific visibility triangle rules, rules on styles of fences (board-on-board), and even a specific type of fence you have to build if your land is adjacent to a park, trail or open space. Additionally, your perimeter wood fence must be pre-stained western red cedar in medium brown color or composite material in redwood color.
