Between the aptly named Lewisville Lake, nearby Lake Grapevine, and even a plethora of suburban backyard pools, Lewisville is a city of water features. But while lake or pool access is convenient for enjoying the great outdoors (especially during blazing hot summer months), fences and gates to control admittance are absolutely critical, as well. Whether you’re trying to keep your children and pets safely contained or render your home inaccessible to marsh and shore-based wildlife, a custom gate or fence by Buzz can be just what you need. Best of all: your new security structure doesn’t have to look authoritarian. Browse our catalog to see the kinds of beautiful, eye-pleasing—and property value-raising—projects we’re capable of pulling off. Call us today to learn what we can do for you.
Lewisville Fence Permits
This northern DFW suburb has very specific requirements for fencing, especially in historical districts.
To start with, you’ll spend at least $25 (at most $175) for a fencing permit, and face an inspection when your fence is built. Contractors must be registered with the city.
Front-yard decorative fences are capped at 3.5 feet, and backyard fences can be 10 feet tall.
You can build with wood, metal tubing or wrought iron, stone, masonry, chain link vinyl or fiberglass composite materials. Metal posts are not allowed on wood fences.
Also not allowed: rope, string, wire products, razor ribbon wire, broken glass, paper, metal panels, corrugated metal panels, galvanized sheet metal, plywood and fiberglass panels.
Further restrictions include no electric fences, no fences on drainage areas, and a requirement to build a gate into your fence along easements for maintenance purposes.
