Weatherford Fence Permits

In this rural community west of Fort Worth, you’ll need to get a fence permit at the cost of $50 before getting started on your fence project.

In the back or side yards, fence height can be 6 feet to 8 feet. In the front yard, a 50 percent transparent, decorative fence can be erected up to 5 feet tall.

Restrictions include being mindful of visibility triangles at intersecting streets.

You can’t build with chain link, woven wire mesh, barbed wire or electrical fencing.

Project You’re Really Proud Of? The Patsy Hooks Dog Park in Weatherford, TX is one of my favorite municipal projects. We installed a black vinyl perimeter fence which needed to not only be visually appealing, but durable to safely contain large and small dogs. The soft, moist ground proved difficult to prevent the fence from sinking years after installation. To combat this, we poured cement to give the fence a secure and level foundation. We also built a custom wood sign for the park and a steel pergola for shade and shelter.
